First Non-Blocking, Fully Integrated 10GbE Switch with 26 Ports, KR Support

Sunnyvale, CA, June 2008 — Fujitsu Microelectronics America, Inc. (FMA), a leading developer of advanced networking semiconductor technology, will showcase its new 26-port 10Gbps Ethernet switch IC at the HP Technology Forum and Expo 2008 at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas June 16-19.

The new MB86C69RBC, which will be shown at booth 843, is the industry’s first non-blocking, fully integrated 26-port 10G Ethernet (10GbE) chip. The switch IC is also the only integrated 10GbE chip to offer KR-compliant 10G serial PHY on every port in a low profile package.

The Fujitsu switch offers a total of 520+Gbps non-blocking L2/L3 switching capacity while consuming less than 1W per active port. This integrated low-profile, high-density, low-power and low-latency 10GbE switching solution is ideal for the next-generation backplane and interconnect applications seen in high-performance computing and blade server applications.
