Agilent Technologies’ DisplayPort Sink Test Platform Qualified by VESA

Agilent’s Test Setup Enables Fully Automated Receiver Tests with J-BERT N4903A and ParBERT 81250A

SANTA CLARA, Calif.-Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) today announced that the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) has qualified its DisplayPort physical layer sink test platform. During the qualification event, Agilent’s solution went through a rigorous testing process evaluating measurement results and the level of automation provided by various test configurations. In addition, Agilent’s DisplayPort receiver characterization and compliance test software qualified for automating the test setup.

The test solution included the Agilent J-BERT N4903A high-performance serial BERT or ParBERT 81250A as stressed signal generator, the new N4915A-006 DisplayPort ISI generator and W2641A DisplayPort test fixture.

In February 2008, VESA qualified Agilent as physical layer transmitter compliance test vendor for its DSO90000A Series high-performance oscilloscope.
