Open Architecture Delivering Click’n Go™ Performance for Any GPS Device over Any Network Connection.

Vancouver, BC, Canada, January 25, 2008 — Rx Networks, Inc., a leading Assisted-GPS (AGPS) technology and global services company, today announces GPStream™ PGPS™, its open architecture extended ephemeris GPS technology designed to reduce start up times of connected GPS devices and to deliver a “Click’n Go” user experience.

Knowledge of GPS satellites future positions makes AGPS products faster. GPStream PGPS is the industry’s first solution that enables GPS devices to model the behavior of the full GPS constellation and predict satellite positions up to 7 to 14 days into the future. Needing only 2KB weekly data transfers, GPStream PGPS can help any GPS device resolve its initial position in as little as 3.5 seconds. Available now for easy device integration, GPStream PGPS is the only ubiquitous solution for extended ephemeris assistance data optimized for any GPS vendor, any network connection, any device, or virtually any chipset architecture.

“GPStream PGPS is a unique and highly differentiated solution that enables device manufacturers to select the best chipset for their application” said Guylain Roy-MacHabée, President and CEO of Rx Networks. “By synthesizing assistance data within the mobile, our architecture also mitigates potential design risks associated with chipset proprietary techniques.”

”Consumers expect simplicity - a “Click’n Go” experience with virtually instant display of current GPS position” said Richard Lee, Executive Vice President of Business Development. “An initial fix time under 10 seconds is frequently cited as crucial to gain high consumer satisfaction.”

Open Architecture
Design once and Reuse: GPStream PGPS is chipset, device, operating system and network agnostic. This platform independence means semiconductor platform suppliers, device manufacturers and even service providers can use GPStream PGPS uniformly across families of GPS receivers

Mobile-Based Prediction
Competitive chipset proprietary extended ephemeris solutions have a hard expiry date before which a new prediction file must be downloaded to preserve fast time to first fix. As a mobile-based technology, GPStream PGPS can continue to generate assistance data beyond its prescribed period, preserving the “Click’n Go” experience while maintaining street to city block accuracy until the next connection.

Maintaining Accuracy
GPStream PGPS delivers horizontal accuracy of 10-20m after 3 days and 20-30m after 7 days. High accuracy and autonomy is maintained even during real time integrity changes to satellite data caused by events like satellite system clock drift or unplanned constellation maintenance. Compared to existing chipset proprietary solutions, GPStream PGPS does not require a full file download to handle real-time integrity events. Instead, it can adjust its own prediction data generation using broadcast ephemeris readings or through small 1KB downloads.

Low Network Usage
Using only 2KB per week reduces traffic load by 95% compared to alternative extended ephemeris solutions. This not only reduces service transmission costs, it increases available network connectivity options such as WiFi, SMS, narrowband satellite, and TMC service channels (RDS/FM sub-carrier and DBS among other options).

Mobile Standards Friendly
GPStream PGPS client software integrates easily with a local SUPL client stack, if present. Otherwise, Rx Networks can provide a full SUPL client as an option.

About GPStream Mobile Suite
The GPStream PGPS mobile client software is part of the GPStream Mobile Suite. Although it can operate stand alone, GPStream PGPS seamlessly works with other GPStream Mobile Suite building blocks to form a complete AGPS solution that can deliver different forms of assistance in any GPS device. The GPStream Mobile Suite includes: GPStream SUPL™, a Secure User Plane client with extended ephemeris capability; GPStream GROAM™ Global initial position assistance for GPS devices, and GPStream SAGPS™, a fully autonomous Self Assisted GPS Extended Ephemeris solution. All these building blocks share a common integration interface and data base structure for easy integration, interoperation, and migration.

About Rx Networks
