Agilent Technologies Wins EuroAsia 2007 IC Industry Award

WEBWIRE

Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) today announced that its B1500A Semiconductor Device Analyzer has received the EuroAsia 2007 IC Industry Award for Best Final Manufacturing Technology tool. The EuroAsia IC Industry Awards, sponsored by EuroAsia Semiconductor magazine, recognize excellence in integrated circuit (IC) manufacturing. Winners are selected based on ballot voting by industry peers. Awards were presented in San Francisco on July 18.

The Agilent B1500A is a modular instrument that provides all of the measurement features required by semiconductor device analysis engineers, including current versus voltage and capacitance versus voltage measurements. Both quasi-static CV and high-frequency CV (to 5 MHz) are supported. Its MS Windows(tm)-based user interface supports Agilent’s EasyEXPERT 3.0 software, which provides an intuitive, task-oriented approach to device characterization. A new high-voltage semiconductor pulse generator unit module for advanced non-volatile memory test can generate voltage pulses with +/- 40 V output and 12.5 ns pulse widths, and it has an arbitrary linear waveform generation capability. Because of its extremely low-current, low-voltage, integrated capacitance and voltage pulsing capabilities, the Agilent B1500A can be used for a wide range of semiconductor device characterization needs.

“A remarkable number of votes -- more than 21,000 -- were received this year from the microelectronics industry for these awards,” said David Ridsdale, editor-in-chief, EuroAsia Semiconductor magazine. “The results confirm Agilent’s reputation for excellence in this increasingly complex and important aspect of manufacturing.”

“We are delighted to receive this recognition two years in a row,” said Minoru Ebihara, vice president and general manager of Agilent’s Hachioji Semiconductor Test Division. “It is a wonderful confirmation of how much our customers value this product.”

The EuroAsia IC Industry Awards celebrate innovation and best practices in an industry where technical achievement is expected and every decision and idea is a potential breakthrough. The awards focus on the people, processes and products that drive the industry forward. Voting is open to all companies, individuals and organizations within the IC industry.
