Diageo unveils third year of festive campaign ‘The Magic of Moderate Drinking’ encouraging hosts to celebrate with style and balance

• Diageo has teamed up with Mr Lyan (Ryan Chetiyawardana), the world’s most awarded bartender, to share creative and simple tips to inspire hosts who want to elevate their gathering, without overdoing it.
• As part of the campaign, Diageo is launching a ‘Hosting Handbook’ packed with recipes, expert hosting tips and creative drinks ideas.
• The global campaign is live from 2^nd December. Live across iconic locations in London including London Waterloo and Westfield from 30^th November; and Times Square, New York, from 15^th December 2025.

This festive season Diageo is defining what it means to be a great host through ‘The Magic of Moderate Drinking’. The campaign champions moderation, showing how thoughtful hosting is all about creating social moments that feel aspirational, inclusive and memorable.

To bring this vision to life, Diageo has teamed up with Mr Lyan (Ryan Chetiyawardana), the world’s most awarded bartender, and Jenna Ba, Diageo Global Brand Ambassador. In the campaign film, they share creative and simple tips to inspire hosts who want to create those festive moments, without overindulging.

As part of the campaign, Diageo is launching a ‘Hosting Handbook’ packed with recipes, expert hosting tips and creative drinks ideas, including a 0.0range Martini and a Bailey’s Midnight Mint.

Hosting tips also include zebra-striping, switching between alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, having an extra coaster for water and showing how spirits can offer a creative way of moderating with their versatility and mixability, such as choosing a single measure.

Mr Lyan commented: “Hosting isn’t about filling up glasses, it’s about curating the whole experience in a personal way – from the lighting, music and snacks to making sure everyone gets home safely. It’s those small, considered touches that can make a night feel effortless and welcoming, and that allows all these moments to enable more meaningful connection. The real magic of hosting is about creating space for everyone to enjoy the moment.”
