Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., a market leader in document imaging scanners and services, today announced that Bill Gates has joined the company as vice president, POS, and Doug Rudolph will take the post of vice president of product management and business development. Additionally, Nina Lutjens, senior director of distribution, DMR and service sales, will assume responsibility of the Fujitsu Imaging Products Group’s (IPG) marketing initiatives.

Bill Gates brings more than 18 years of experience in the document imaging industry to Fujitsu. Most recently, Bill served as general manager and vice president of sales at Eastman Kodak’s Document Business Unit. Bill also served as a channel account manager developing channels to market for its first high-volume scanners and gained international experience as the general manager in the Latin American Region. In his new role, Bill will oversee IPG’s Point of Sale (POS) team in the U.S. and Latin America and help grow the company’s existing relationships with its Value Added Resellers (VAR).

Doug Rudolph has more than 25 years of experience in the industry with the last 14 years spent at Kofax as vice president of worldwide sales, image processing, and as vice president of business development and OEM sales. Doug’s main focus at Fujitsu will be to oversee the product management, product engineering and business development teams to create strategic synergies between the company’s product line and key Fujitsu independent software vendors (ISV) to ensure that its document imaging solutions meet the emerging needs of customers.

In addition to her responsibilities as senior director of distribution, DMR and service sales, Nina Lutjens will oversee the imaging group’s channel marketing, advertising, and public relations. Nina will use her 20 years of document imaging experience to create new marketing, promotion and business generation programs for the company’s document imaging product line.

“Fujitsu is obviously very excited to have such a stellar group of people with such broad industry knowledge join our team,” said Victor Kan, vice president, sales and marketing, Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc. “Fujitsu does not take its document imaging leadership role for granted and our organization just took another step forward in securing that role into the future.”
