Innovations 2007 Awards Seek The Best Of The Best In Consumer Electronics Design And Engineering

Arlington, Virginia, 8/28/2006, Entries for the prestigious International CES Innovations 2007 Design and Engineering Awards will be accepted today through October 2, 2006, announced the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA®). This annual competition honors outstanding design and engineering in cutting-edge consumer electronics. The awards are sponsored by CEA, the producer of the International CES, and endorsed by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) - the voice of industrial design, committed to advancing the profession through education, information, community and advocacy. The 2007 International CES, the world’s largest consumer technology tradeshow, runs January 8-11, 2007 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Now in its tenth year, the 2007 Best of Innovations awards are given to the most honored products in each category. The Best of Innovations honorees will be announced at the 2007 International CES Unveiled@NewYork on November 8, 2006. Honorees also are highlighted and featured in the Innovations Showcase at Innovations Plus in the Sands exhibit at the Sands Expo and Convention Center/The Venetian during the International CES.
In addition to housing the prestigious Innovations honorees, Innovations Plus at the Sands will feature emerging technology exhibits and events, including hot product TechZones focusing on: Bluetooth, Consumer VoIP, IPTV, and Robotics. Innovations Plus will be home to nearly all consumer electronics categories from audio to wireless; Anytime Anywhere, Mobile & Personal Broadband, Studio@Home, Digital Living Network Alliance, ExpressCard, Flex Tech and The Download. Additionally, the CES Industry Insiders and CES Unveiled will both be there.
Media and analysts will get a sneak peek of this year’s Innovations Design and Engineering showcase honorees during an enhanced and expanded CES Unveiled: The Official Press Event of CES. Guests will enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while viewing tabletop product demonstrations and networking with both Innovations honorees and CES exhibitors. CES Unveiled runs from 4 - 7 p.m. on Saturday January, 6 at the Sands/Venetian. Only credentialed media and analysts will be permitted to attend this exclusive sponsored event
