Medium to full bodied the palate delivers generous blackcurrant and ripe dark mulberry flavours followed by some cedar and spice. Very fine grained almost velvet like tannins with long blackcurrant, ripe mulberry and spicy cedar aftertaste.

Attractive aromas of crushed violets, black cherries and dark chocolate, with a just a touch of “charry” French oak complimenting the fragrant fruit characters. A medium bodied palate of ripe, dark fruits, leafy Cabernet and a little dark chocolate sit nicely with the very soft tannins, subtle oak and balanced acidity. Quite an elegant wine. A really good wine from a top Clare vintage. Good to drink now for such a young wine, but will take 5-10 years cellaring without any problems at all. Grilled Sirloin medium rare. Great value red!
