Savoie Restaurant Opens in Chula Vista at Otay Ranch Town Center

Savoie is Chula Vista’s newest restaurant in the Otay Ranch Town Center directly across from the AMC Theater. The restaurant was completely remodeled and redecorated and it sports some amazing touches that rival any restaurant in the entire San Diego area, or all of Southern California for that matter.  This will likely be one of the busiest places in the thriving Eastlake area, and it has an extensive patio with fire pits and large party tables, a VIP room, and full bar, and an extensive wine selection.

The restaurant features many California native succulent plants, combined with artificial boxwood hedge on many of the walls and behind the bar. There are large artificial moss balls hanging from the ceiling in the dining area, and they have artificial aspen boughs hanging in the VIP room. The restaurant has done an excellent job combining new artificial plant products with California native plants.

Diners are bound to be impressed with the atmosphere and the restaurant promises to be an exciting location for dates and special occasions.  One reviewer on Yelp described the restaurant, “Absolutely breathtaking, like nothing else in San Diego. This place looks like it belongs in New York or Las Vegas.” Another reviewer repeated those sentiments, “What a joy to find such fun and interesting décor.” Other reviewers described Savoie as “hip and interesting,” and “beautiful and sophisticated.” 

The owners of Savoie operate other restaurants in the Eastlake area including Karina’s Mexican Seafood Restaurant just up the street. The cuisine at Savoie is French/Italian and features menu items like Steak Diane, Short Rib Polenta, a selection of pizzas, and many scrumptious sounding appetizers and salads. They have a large selection of fine Italian, French, and California wines, and the bar features many specialty cocktails including a fantastic Cucumber Martini.

The Eastlake area of San Diego area is booming and Savoie is a great representation of the area’s possibilities. Geranium Street Floral of San Marcos installed the artificial boxwood hedge that can be seen on many of the walls and behind the bar. This is a new trend in restaurant design, which adds a bit of green and texture to other wise hard and cold surfaces. The Savoie certainly deserves a closer look for the décor alone.
