IPFlex Launches DAPDNA Partner Program in North America to Provide Dynamically Reconfigurable Processor Solutions -Advanced Principles Group and Nuvation to Start Offering DAPDNA-Based Solutions-

WEBWIRE

Tokyo, New Hampshire, and California – February 21, 2006 - IPFlex Inc. today announced that the company has launched the DAPDNA* Partner Program in the United States. The DAPDNA Partner Program aims to create valuable, first-to-market products using a dynamically reconfigurable processor** (henceforth referred to as DRP) platform. Advanced Principles Group of Manchester, New Hampshire, and Nuvation of San Jose, California, have become the first partners to participate in the program.

IPFlex started the partner program in Japan less than one year ago, and 12 partners now serve customers in Japan. The launch of DAPDNA Partner Program in the United States signifies the acceptance of DAPDNA technology, and demand for DRP-enabled systems in the market place.

Joe Thompson, President of Advanced Principles Group, Inc. comments:
“Signal processing system designers are targeting increasingly sophisticated algorithms for deployment on highly space and power constrained platforms. IPFlex’s DAPDNA architecture addresses the difficulties in building these systems by providing a high performance architecture that is easily understood and employed by algorithm designers. The single clock cycle reconfiguration capability opens the door to compact, low-power multi-waveform and multi-function systems, and APG is excited about applying this innovative architecture to challenging signal processing and computational problems. Using DAPDNA platform, we plan to provide reference design services, as well as consulting service for high-end signal and image processing, software defined radio, and high-performance reconfigurable computing"

Michael Worry, President and CEO of Nuvation, comments:
“We are very pleased to be working with IPFlex to facilitate rapid adoption of their technology in the North American market. Nuvation’s broad client base in video, imaging, wired and wireless infrastructure, consumer electronics, defense, and high-performance computing can benefit from IPFlex’ revolutionary DAPDNA technology. IPFlex’ technology enables innovative hardware architectures to fulfill the market’s insatiable demand for processing power. The dynamically reconfigurable nature of the DAPDNA architecture is extremely compelling for resource efficiency on multi-phase and multi-granularity algorithms. IPFlex’s DAPDNA product line dovetails with Nuvation’s Algorithm Acceleration services, whereby customers enjoy customized hardware acceleration to generate from 20 times to 100 times performance improvement of software algorithms. We look forward to many successful co-developments with IPFlex and our North American clients.”

Koichi Hagishima, CEO of IPFlex comments:
“IPFlex has more than 20 design-ins, and 10 of them will go into mass production this year. The most important factor in achieving these wins was the DAPDNA Partner Program companies. Together with the two new partners in the US, we will provide valuable, never-seen-before products to customers in North America.”

IPFlex plans to aggressively increase the number of Program partners in order to support the growing demand for DAPDNA technology.

About the DAPDNA Partner Program
The goal of the DAPDNA Partner program is for IPFlex and program members to offer unprecedented value to customers in various application areas by leveraging DAPDNA architecture. IPFlex and its DAPDNA partners combine their strengths to deliver optimal solutions to customers for their application development needs.

About the DAPDNA Dynamically Reconfigurable Processor
DAPDNA dynamically reconfigurable processor can change its hardware configuration to provide the optimal circuitry for an application on demand. This configuration change can take place not only when the system is designed, but also during operation, dynamically, in a single clock cycle***, to meet the instantaneous change in needs of applications implemented by the system.

Terminology
* DAPDNA: Digital Application Processor based on Distributed Network Architecture.
** Dynamically Reconfigurable Processor: A processor capable of changing chip circuitry dynamically.
*** a single clock cycle: One clock switching operation is possible by creating configuration information beforehand and storing in the background configuration banks.
