Christian Bale Is the Only Thing Hotter Than the Sun This Summer, According to MSN Survey

More than 50 percent of women are pining for a summer fling with the Hollywood bad boy.

REDMOND, Wash. - Summer is officially here, and people across the United States are weighing in on which celebrity they’d most like to have a summer fling with. A new MSN survey finds that Christian Bale is the object of desire for more than 50 percent of female respondents.

Regardless of his fiery on-set tirade while filming “Terminator Salvation,” bad boy Bale easily beat out Robert Pattinson, today’s hottest vampire, and Chris Pine, aka Captain Kirk, as the celebrity with whom women would most want to have a summer fling. Unexpectedly, Pattinson, a very popular man among many twentysomething women, received only 21 percent of the female vote as this summer’s most desired celebrity fling — and Pine received a mere 14 percent.

While most women surveyed (ages 18–64) want to hook up with Bale, almost half (44 percent) of male respondents (ages 18–64) say they would want to have a summer fling with Megan Fox. Carrie Underwood is close behind with 38 percent of male respondents saying that they would want to hook up with the country pop sensation and “American Idol” alum.

Just because a summer romance with one of today’s most popular celebrities is not in the cards for most people, it doesn’t stop them from admiring this summer’s hottest celebs from afar, with almost half of respondents (44 percent) saying that Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake have the hottest beach bodies. But an overwhelming 92 percent of respondents said they would not want to see “Speidi,” also known as Heidi and Spencer Pratt, strut their stuff on the beach this summer.
