Integrated material composition and carbon footprint tracking

San Jose, CA, June 04, ‘09- Green leader Papros Inc. today announced integrated product level and facility level footprint tracking that combines the capabilities of its leading products MRPRO(TM) and EMSPRO(TM). This enables combining the highly specific facility level carbon footprint calculations and a method for apportioning of the overheads for the development of product level carbon footprints.

MRPRO offers the spreadsheet interface for product footprints in addition to industry and W3C compliant XML formats for the data. By easily exchanging data on the web or the desktop, the entire web is the database for MRPRO and the spreadsheet is the interface. Compliance documents can be kept in a signed XML format that offers an excellent compliance trail for audit purposes.

MRPRO supports Design for the Environment by easily exchanging product footprint, obsolescence information and due diligence communications in the realm of Montebello Agreement, REACH, RoHS, RoHS-like (China, Korea), JMOSS, WEEE, EuP, AB 32, Green Chemistry Initiative, Extended Producer Responsibility and other emerging regulations. MRPRO enables compliance by full support for data conforming to EIA, JEDEC, JIG (supports the latest JIG), IPC, SAE and F2725.

EMSPRO(TM) is a highly in-depth program that tracks the entire footprint of a facility or organization or entity. It is a highly scalable program in that it can be used by the largest of organizations or by governments, yet it can also be used by small entities. This is because it maintains only as much data as needed. For facilities it can tract annual, daily or hourly greenhouse gas emissions for any type of source. Unique fuel codes allow users to personalize emission factors based on tested heating values or carbon content or use default emission factors. The program also helps track multimedia waste streams including hazardous wastes, if needed. Water usage can also be tracked. Safety procedures and inspections and audits are also covered.
