Florida Woman Donates Her Own Pizzazz to Palin’s Wardrobe

A Florida Entrepreneur is helping Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin accessorize her new wardrobe with one of her own inventions.

Jean Newell, creator of a new fashion accessory organizer known as the giZmo bag, has shipped one of them to the Alaska Governor. She describes her giZmo as a designer bag that can be worn three different ways or as a drop-in organizer for larger totes. In a letter to Palin, Newell wrote, “I thought with your busy schedule that you might find the need to have a stylish organizer for your cell phone, palm pilot and lipstick.” Newell says she was told by someone in the McCain campaign that the product value had to be under $50. Her giZmo bag sells for $29.95.

Newell’s invention came after a 35-year-career in real estate and a weakened economy. “I realized the only way I would be able to offset rising inflation and the declining real estate market was to take control of my own income destiny. That’s why I decided to go into business for myself to develop and market my own invention,” says Newell.

The 62-year-old self-described Boomerpreneur says she’s paying very close attention to this election but doesn’t see what the fuss is all about over the Republic National Committee paying $150 thousand to help the Alaska Governor create a vice presidential image. “Why wouldn’t they (RNC) want her to look good?” Newell asks. “After all, she is not only representing the Republican Party, she is also representing women everywhere.”
