February SEMPO Arizona Event Explores New Marketing Trends

Industry Leaders Come Together to Discuss Social Media, Welcome Local Marketers to Learn More about Advertising Opportunities in Social Applications

Phoenix, AZ – January 30, 2008 – SEMPO Arizona (www.sempoaz.org), a working group providing education, awareness and a better understanding of search engine marketing, recently announced its event titled ‘Social Media & Advertising Opportunities in Social Applications.’

The event, taking place on February 7th, will feature representatives from Google, Jobing.com and KEO Marketing. This unique SEMPO AZ event will be centered on social media from three perspectives: the agency, the client and the search engine.

Google will discuss how it is helping customers expand their advertising reach by offering marketing opportunities on social media. Jobing.com will discuss how it is incorporating social media elements (blogs, video, etc) into its Web site to open up dialog with customers. Local marketing agency, KEO Marketing, will discuss the ways in which it is using social media as part of the marketing mix for its clients.

“Users want the internet to be interactive and they are increasingly spending more time on online social applications. As a result of the shift in user behavior, marketers need new ways to reach their target audience. We will look at ways marketers can use Google’s AdWords ™ program and other online outlets to reach an audience of users who are spending time online watching videos on YouTube and socializing with friends on social networks,” explains SEMPO AZ Chair Jason Ferrara.
