GoodBye Chain Group Expands Its Award-Winning Substance and Material Management Solution for REACH Compliance

Colorado Springs, CO – September 6, 2007: Support for REACH compliance is now available with the industry’s most affordable and comprehensive Material and Substance Data management software, the award-winning MDW-ES from The GoodBye Chain Group.

The European Union’s Registration, Evaluation and Authorization of Chemicals (REACH) Directive came into force on June 1, 2007. Replacing more than 40 previous regulations, it entails a highly complex set of requirements that are geared specifically for “Downstream User” product manufacturers and component suppliers, as well as for substance manufacturers and importers.

MDW-ES allows companies of all sizes to: 1) immediately build their own internal REACH-ready substance libraries; 2) identify those substances that are operationally critical to both their products and manufacturing processes; 3) highlight and find substitutes for any of the likely 1500 substances that will eventually be restricted or banned under REACH; 4) store in one central location MSDS forms, testing reports, and other REACH-related documents; and 5) track volumes, substance applications, and the many other substance-related data points needed for REACH compliance.

Furthermore, as with RoHS compliance, MDW-ES enables companies to easily import, cleanse, analyze, roll-up, and report on substance and material data for parts per million based compliance triggers that could dramatically affect a company’s ability to sell products into the EU.
