Ford Fusion, Escape, Lincoln MKX Set All-Time Sales Records

Ford crossovers and small SUV’s are dynamic players in a strong Canadian marketplace – it was a record setting month for the Ford Edge, Lincoln MKX and Ford Escape – all culminating in a 13 per cent increase in truck sales for the Ford Motor Company of Canada, Limited.


“Outstanding is the word that comes to mind when talking about customer response to the newly re-designed Ford Escape and our hot crossovers, the Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX,” said Bill Osborne, president and CEO, Ford of Canada. “And that’s what we’re here to do – build vehicles that inspire.”


In June, Ford of Canada saw overall combined sales increase of 0.7 per cent at 25,485 units. Total truck sales were up 13 per cent at 18,535 units. Although car sales of 6,950 units marks a 22 per cent decline, the Ford Fusion had its best month since launch and Lincoln MKZ posted solid sales.
