Fujitsu Positioned in Leader Quadrants of Three Independent Software Research Reports

Fujitsu was positioned in the leader’s quadrant in three new Gartner Magic Quadrant reports on Application Infrastructure, New Service-Oriented Business Application Projects, and Back-End Integration Projects. Fujitsu was also placed in the Challenger Quadrant for Composite-Application Projects.

Fujitsu has seen accelerated demand for its Interstage(R) Suite, one of the world’s broadest lines of application infrastructure software products. Sales for the Fujitsu Interstage Suite grew exponentially in 2006 with the North American and European markets alone recording a 150 percent increase in sales during this period as customers and partners made Interstage Suite products their solution of choice to design, deploy and manage their applications by utilizing a service-oriented architecture (SOA) approach.

Gartner’s new category of software, “application infrastructure,” includes “the majority of runtime middleware, as well as application development and management tools that support the new generation of application styles based on SOA, event-driven architecture and business process management (BPM) technology.”

According to the report, leaders in this Magic Quadrant “have a full range of capabilities to support all project types in any geographic location and have demonstrated consistent product delivery over a considerable period to meet customer needs.”

Fujitsu was placed in the Challenger Quadrant in this report, which focuses on “new, user-centric applications front-ending pre-existing . . . applications.
