TELUS selects Rx Networks’ GPStream Global Reference Network solution to expand its Assisted-GPS capabilities and service coverage.

Vancouver, Canada – June 11, 2007. Rx Networks Inc. has been selected to supply its real-time Assisted-GPS reference network data for use on TELUS’ CDMA and iDEN wireless networks. The Rx Networks GPStream GRN (Global Reference Network) provides extended North American coverage and the multi-vendor interoperability necessary to meet the demands of TELUS’ growing Location-Based Services.

The GPStream GRN is the world’s only truly interoperable global Assisted-GPS reference commercial solution for mobile operators and Location-Based Services providers. Designed from the ground up for carrier-grade reliability, the GPStream GRN enables operators to optimally match their preferred Assisted-GPS position equipment vendor solution with the best and most cost-effective global real-time assistance data feed.

“TELUS chose the GPStream GRN because of its extensive coverage, and since it offers a cost effective, common feed solution for use with both our CDMA and iDEN wireless networks”, said Chris Langdon, TELUS vice-president of Network services.

“We are pleased to be working with an innovative operator like TELUS”, said Guylain Roy-MacHabée, CEO, Rx Networks, noting that “this commercial deployment is a clear example of our GPStream GRN flexibility across multiple air interfaces and C and/or U plane Assisted-GPS deployments.”

The GPStream GRN is part of a growing family of advanced reference solutions designed to deliver the best mobile GPS performance and user experience, including predicted assistance data for fast time to first fix and global roaming assistance for easy and cost effective LBS roaming.
