Touchstone To Jet Media To Fabled Shores Of Lake Muskoka For Very Special Grand Opening

Leave it to the people behind Muskoka’s most spectacular lakefront development to stage an equally spectacular event for members of the media.

On June 12th, the developers of Touchstone on Lake Muskoka — a luxurious lakefront project featuring a five-star vacation residence and fractional ownership villas — will fly a select group from Toronto Island Airport to Port Carling, Ontario for a very special Media Day.

Here, just steps away from the locks separating Lake Muskoka from Lake Rosseau, these few lucky individuals will be invited to take part in the grand opening of the new Touchstone On Lake Muskoka Discovery Centre & Sandra Ainsley Gallery. They will also be treated to a fabulously catered lunch, and a showing of some of the world’s most magnificent glass artworks.

Hosted by Walter Thompson, the President of The GenerX Corporation the developer of this vacation home paradise, and Ms. Ainsley herself, the Discovery Centre & Gallery in Port Carling will be the perfect, pressure-free place for people to learn more about Muskoka, and the luxurious, maintenance-free lifestyle at Touchstone. Of course, people are also welcome to take in the spectacular work of some the world’s finest glass artisans as well.

Mr. Thompson says this convenient location will allow people, whether coming by boat, by car or just strolling the streets of Muskoka’s darling community, to take a few minutes and learn more about the Muskoka lifestyle they can begin enjoying this fall when the first phase of Touchstone is completed.

“Rather than having to take the time and effort to visit our sales centre on site, people can stop in at their leisure and spend as little or as much time as they like,” says Mr. Thompson. “Either by just poking their head in the door and taking a peak, or enjoying a cool refreshment, the Discovery Centre lets people learn as little or as much about Touchstone as they’d like - on their terms.”

Like everything that Touchstone does, however, this will be no ordinary sales office. Incorporated into the Discovery Centre will be a Sandra Ainsley Gallery, one of Canada’s pre-eminent dealers in fine glass artwork, including the breathtaking works of world-famous Dale Chihuly.

“Sandra will be bringing her artists and their work to Muskoka, and Sandra herself is a very big fan of the Touchstone project,” says Thompson. “Not only does she have a keen eye for art, but she also personifies the Touchstone lifestyle. She was looking for a luxurious, maintenance free, Muskoka experience, and we are very pleased that she found it at Touchstone"
