David Revell II’s “Everyday: A Second Glance” to be Featured at the 2026 Guadalajara International Book Fair
Poetry becomes a lens for examining society’s changing realities, from the pursuit of awareness and equality to the growing influence of technology on everyday life.
Everyday: A Second Glance invites readers to look beyond the ordinary and reflect on the social realities, technological changes, and human struggles that shape the world around us.
The self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet will exhibit David Revell II’s “Everyday: A Second Glance” at the 2026 Guadalajara International Book Fair. The poetry collection will be available at Stand GG40 during the fair at the Expo Guadalajara Convention Center in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. The exhibition runs from November 28 to December 2, 2026, bringing the book to an international audience.
As a major gathering for the international publishing community, the Guadalajara International Book Fair brings together authors, publishers, literary professionals, and readers to celebrate stories and ideas from diverse cultures. Through this exhibition, ReadersMagnet continues to help independent authors introduce their work to new audiences and create opportunities for their stories to be discovered beyond their home markets.
In “Everyday: A Second Glance,” David Revell II explores the connections between personal experiences and broader societal concerns through poetry. The poem “Nightmare” reflects on the weight of negative thoughts and emotional struggles, while “Locked in a Video Setting” examines the demands of digital communication. Other poems, such as “Phishing” and “She Fled from the Bots,” address the uncertainties surrounding technology, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. Meanwhile, “Re-Re-Ripples of Water” highlights environmental pollution and its consequences.
As an African American educator, Revell is committed to exploring Black history and addressing social injustices. His collection encourages readers to look beyond “everyday” routines and reflect on the challenges, changes, and underlying issues shaping contemporary society. By weaving together themes of education, technology, environmental awareness, and human vulnerability, these poems offer readers new perspectives on the world.
Readers are invited to discover poetry that offers a fresh perspective on “everyday” life in “Everyday: A Second Glance” by David Revell II, available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and the ReadersMagnet Bookstore. Visitors to the 2026 Guadalajara International Book Fair are invited to visit Stand GG40 from November 28 to December 2, 2026, to check out the book display.
