“True Learning” Brings Four Decades of Educational Experience to the Frankfurt Book Fair 2026

With four decades of experience in education, including a tutoring business, advanced learning programs, and adult training, teacher-turned-author Trudi J. Carter’ s “True Learning: A Renaissance in Education” will be presented at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2026 from October 7 to 11.

Her book will be part of The Maple Staple’s exhibition at Messe Frankfurt in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, with copies distributed to visitors at Hall 5.1, Stand D86.

“True Learning” defines teaching methods which respond to different students in the same classroom with the same curriculum, while always leading the child to success. Her original lesson design system shows adults how to create learning activities that encourage student participation, analytical thinking, and long-term learning.

Within its pages are lesson samples—tested and proven effective—and stories drawn from children’s classroom interactions. Her techniques are designed to support success for every child on grade level.

Carter describes approaches for student presentations, including independent and team-based work in front of large groups. These opportunities allow children to develop confidence, trust in their abilities, and a stronger sense of self-worth.

The author’s work across several areas of education includes classroom teaching, pull-out sessions for advanced learners, personalized tutoring, and adult training. Her lesson examples range from foundational subjects to complex topics. Her strategies range from creating a learning environment, analytical lessons, student teamwork techniques, and approaches to learning basic skills, including multiple methods for teaching spelling.

Carter’s career in education has taken her from New York to Iowa and Georgia. Based on teaching students in classrooms and small-group programs, she identified unique methods that she applied to her tutoring business. Today, she brings her imagination, play, and thoughtful challenges to her children’s books, where her characters develop real-world skills, similar to ones taught in “True Learning.”

Now living in Lawrenceville, Georgia, Carter recently designed a method for learning cursive writing, “Swoops, Loops, and Curls - From Print to Cursive.”
