Lee Sato is a Midwestern author with dual degrees in psychology and journalism. She dedicated more than three decades to demanding and often harrowing work, from gang intervention in the 1980s to adolescent psychiatry in the 1990s, and later investigating crimes against children and human trafficking. Having retired in 2017, she now writes fiction novels based on facts and the resilience of humankind.

Sato holds a dual degree in psychology and journalism and has had an illustrious career in professions where she has been exposed to considerable risks, such as gang intervention during the 1980s, adolescent psychiatry in the 1990s, and then investigative work into child abuse cases and human trafficking. Upon retirement in 2017, she took up writing, her long-held passion, and has turned her real-life experience into riveting fiction. Her first book, “Hornet’s Nest,” marks a fresh start in the world of fiction, as she continues to write more novels.
