Motorola is changing that with the introduction of Global Connect.

A first for smartphones

Global Connect is Motorola’s official travel connectivity app. Powered by Gigs, a global leader in embedded connectivity, Global Connect is available to download in select countries* from the Google Play Store and comes pre-installed on millions of Motorola devices**.

Every eligible Motorola user gets 1GB of complimentary data, which can allow up to one hour of video streaming or 10+ hours of web browsing, which they can use in 160+ countries. After that, topping up is simple: just open the app, choose a destination and data amount, purchase, install the eSIM and connect. Users can expect high-speed data, provided by hundreds of networks across the globe to bring the strongest available signal, as well as transparent pricing with no hidden fees.

Plus, there’s no need to install a new eSIM as users move between countries – a single eSIM can be used to connect wherever they go.

Keeping users connected during the football and summer travel season Global Connect arrives at the perfect time to keep Motorola users connected during the big tournament, which will be a major travel event for fans around the world. Availability

The Global Connect app launches in the playstore today in six markets: Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Peru and Chile, with select countries within Europe to follow later this year.
