Originally from Orrville, he now lives near Dalton with his wife, Glenda. A devoted father of three and grandfather of four, Hartzler enjoys spending time with family, appreciating nature, gathering around campfires, and caring for his terrier-mix companion, Jack.

As an acoustic guitar player and worship team leader at Journey Church of Northeast Ohio, he has dedicated years to encouraging others through worship and service.
