Anheuser-Busch to Sponsor Idaho Honor Flight’s Inaugural Mission to Washington, D.C. This September

Longstanding Partnership with Honor Flight Network Brings Veterans to Visit D.C. Memorials Built in Their Honor

Washington, DC – WEBWIRE

Today, leading American manufacturer Anheuser-Busch announced its sponsorship of Idaho Honor Flight’s mission on September 1 to fly 45 Idaho-based Veterans to Washington, D.C. to experience the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit the memorials built in their honor.

This is the next step in Anheuser-Busch’s partnership with Honor Flight Network, a national nonprofit organization committed to transporting America’s Veterans to our nation’s capital to share in a day of honor at our nation’s memorials. This is the fifth consecutive year Anheuser-Busch has partnered with Honor Flight chapters across the country to pay tribute to our nation’s Veterans, part of Anheuser-Busch’s 150+ year commitment to supporting Veterans, military families and first responders.

Cesar Vargas, Chief External Affairs Officer, Anheuser-Busch, said: “Anheuser-Busch’s longstanding partnership with Honor Flight Network is one way we’re proud to serve those who have served. We’re excited to sponsor Idaho Honor Flight’s inaugural mission to Washington, D.C. and express our appreciation for their sacrifices and contributions to our great country.”

Anheuser-Busch has long been a committed part of the Idaho community and economy, operating five agricultural facilities in the state and purchasing high-quality barley and hops from more than 230 Idaho farmers every year to brew its iconic American beers. Veterans who currently work at Anheuser-Busch’s Idaho Falls malt plant will participate in September’s flight as Guardians, serving as companions to ensure a safe and memorable experience for participants.

Theresa Werner, Chairman, Honor Flight Network, said: “We are incredibly grateful to Anheuser-Busch for sponsoring the inaugural Idaho Honor Flight. Their longstanding partnership with the Honor Flight Network has helped make moments like this possible, and we are proud to continue this meaningful relationship as we honor more veterans together.”

Photina Haumschilt, President, Idaho Honor Flight, said: “This inaugural mission represents years of planning, community support, and a shared commitment to honoring our nation’s heroes. We are deeply grateful to Anheuser-Busch for their partnership and belief in our mission. Their support ensures our Veterans can experience this journey of honor and recognition at no cost to them.

Through enduring partnerships with organizations like Honor Flight Network, Folds of Honor, Tunnel to Towers, and many others, Anheuser-Busch and its wholesaler partners continue to champion the needs of Veterans, military families and first responders who have sacrificed for our country and communities – including the more than ten percent of Anheuser-Busch employees who are active service members or Veteran
