Seattle-Based Author David O. Otebele Brings Gritty Coming-of-Age Novel “Altruism” to the London Book Fair 2026

From March 10–12, 2026, a socially charged contemporary novel by Seattle-based author David O. Otebele will be featured at the London Book Fair 2026 through The Maple Staple Bookstore at Booth 6A100. Set in 1990s New York City, the novel offers a gripping exploration of youth, ethics, and resilience in an environment shaped by crime, violence, and difficult choices.

David O. Otebele brings academic insight and real-world experience to the novel. A social worker with the State of Washington Social Welfare Administration, he holds a B.A. in Public Administration/Government and an M.A. in Political Science. His professional background lends authenticity to the story, grounding its dramatic events in a deep understanding of social systems and human behavior.
