Resy and The Charleston Place Announce Guest Chef Collaboration Series as Part of Daniel Humm Residency

A Series of Culinary Collaborations with Celebrated Southern Chef Expands the Yearlong Pop-Up Experience in Partnership with The Charleston Place, Resy and Daniel Humm Hospitality

CHARLESTON, S.C.  – WEBWIRE

Resy and The Charleston Place are pleased to announce a lineup of guest chef collaborations taking place this spring and summer as part of the ongoing Chef Daniel Humm x The Charleston Place, Presented by Resy residency. This curated series invites influential chefs with strong ties to the city, including Sean Brock, James London, Dano Heinze and Michelle Weaver, to join Chef Daniel Humm for a sequence of intimate, two-night dining experiences that celebrate collaboration, creativity and thoughtful hospitality.

Each collaboration is designed as a natural extension of Chef Humm’s year-long pop-up at the landmark hotel and will feature a multi-course menu created by Chef Humm and the visiting chef. Menus will reflect a mutual respect for seasonality, regional ingredients and sustainability, while tying in each chef’s unique personality for a truly one-of-a-kind experience. Throughout the series, Chef Humm and each guest chef will be present in the restaurant on event evenings, offering guests a rare, high-touch dining experience.

The Guest Chef Collaboration Series reinforces the residency’s emphasis on dialogue between chefs, diners and the broader culinary community, while positioning Charleston as a creative meeting ground for ideas and cultures expressed through food.

Chef Michelle Weaver
July 15–16, 2026 A foundational figure in Charleston’s culinary history, Michelle Weaver served as executive chef of The Charleston Grill for more than two decades, helping to put the restaurant and destination on the national culinary map. The Guest Chef Collaboration Series builds on the broader partnership between The Charleston Place and Daniel Humm Hospitality, which continues to focus on local sourcing initiatives, sustainability-focused collaborations and apprenticeship opportunities for both the Charleston-based culinary team and the Eleven Madison Park team.

“This series is about celebrating some of Charleston’s best through our shared language of food,” said Humm. “Charleston has a deep culinary soul, shaped by its people and land. I’m excited to cook alongside these accomplished chefs and continue to learn from their vast experiences.”
