Richard Enns’ “The Gynecologist’s Daughter” Joins The Maple Staple’s London Book Fair 2026 Title Showcase

The debut novel of probation officer-turned-author Richard Enns, “The Gynecologist’s Daughter,” will be included in The Maple Staple’s curated lineup of featured titles during the 2026 London Book Fair.

Through its fast-moving plot and focus on complex moral situations, the novel explores the human consequences of crime while following a detective determined to protect those caught in its path.

Enns brings firsthand professional experience to his writing after spending nearly 22 years with the San Diego County Probation Department. Raised by missionary parents and educated in history and divinity, he has drawn on encounters with both hardship and resilience to shape the themes and emotional depth of his fiction. Based in San Diego, Enns blends his background in law enforcement and storytelling in this first published novel.
