Toronto-based bookstore returns as exhibitor with author events, new features, and a growing international presence.
The Maple Staple in London
The Toronto-based independent bookstore The Maple Staple will return to the London Book Fair in 2026, marking its third consecutive year as an exhibitor at one of the world’s most influential publishing gatherings. The bookstore will be located at Stand 6A100 on the Ground Floor of Olympia London from March 10 to 12.
From its beginnings as a community-focused bookstore in Canada, The Maple Staple has steadily expanded its international presence by supporting independent and self-published authors while promoting diverse and underrepresented voices. Its continued participation in the London Book Fair reflects both sustained growth and a long-term commitment to global literary engagement.
For its third appearance at the fair, The Maple Staple will occupy a 26-square-meter corner stand and present approximately 200 unique book titles. The organization plans to host seven author signings over the three-day event and distribute more than 500 complimentary book copies to visitors. In addition, this year, The Maple Staple will introduce a new feature: a free audiobook listening area showcasing titles from authors and publishers around the world. This marks the first time the bookstore has incorporated an audio-focused space into its London Book Fair programming.
The London Book Fair has served for more than five decades as a central meeting point for the international publishing industry, facilitating rights negotiations, professional development, and cross-platform collaboration. Attendees gain access to more than 100 seminars and specialized programs addressing current trends and challenges in publishing.
The Maple Staple’s participation reflects its evolving role as both a retail and cultural platform. By combining author engagement, curated collections, and new interactive features, the organization continues to emphasize accessibility, creativity, and community building within the global book trade.
Visitors, authors, and industry professionals are invited to visit The Maple Staple at Stand 6A100 to explore featured titles, attend scheduled signings, and experience its expanded programming, including the new audiobook listening area. The exhibit is designed to encourage conversation, discovery, and meaningful connections between independent creators and global audiences.
