Daniel Lee and Claridge’s unveil the 2025 Christmas Tree
Claridge’s has always felt like home from the moment you walk through its doors, a true symbol of elegance and British heritage where I’ve enjoyed many special moments over the years.
This Christmas season, Daniel Lee designs the legendary Claridge’s Christmas Tree.
A traditional 16ft tree is decorated with bows – a Victorian symbol of unity – made from surplus Burberry fabrics. The tree is covered in wild foliage and thistle, Scotland’s national flower, as a nod to Burberry’s connection to the Highlands, where its cashmere scarves are produced. The colours and textures bring the outdoors in, drawing from the beauty of the UK’s rich landscapes.
’Claridge’s has always felt like home from the moment you walk through its doors, a true symbol of elegance and British heritage where I’ve enjoyed many special moments over the years. Being invited to design the hotel’s annual Christmas tree is a huge honour. I saw it as an opportunity to celebrate tradition and togetherness - expressing the season through vibrant colours and rich textures. Christmas is my favourite time of the year’.

The tree features hanging brass bells, inspired by the house’s Equestrian Knight Design, and baubles handmade by a British glassblower. The top of the tree is adorned with a gold crown, while the base features oversized floor-standing chess pieces and cosy cushions and blankets.Set in the hotel’s lobby, the annual Claridge’s Christmas Tree has long been a festive landmark for both Londoners and visitors from around the world.
Burberry and Claridge’s festive touchesTo celebrate the holidays, Claridge’s features elegant Burberry details throughout the hotel.
