Orange unveils its latest innovations at Orange OpenTech 2025

Orange OpenTech has established itself as the must-attend event for technological innovation. Under the tagline “Unleash the Value,” this 2025 edition brings the entire Orange ecosystem together over three days — employees, industrial partners, start-ups, customers, researchers and media — to explore how technologies help us address the major challenges ahead: technological sovereignty, cybersecurity, digital inclusion and energy efficiency.

Orange Research, engine of innovation and differentiator

Orange OpenTech 2025 places particular emphasis on Orange’s scientific excellence, with one third of the demonstrations drawn directly from the work of its 700 researchers, including 120 PhD students. In a context where Artificial Intelligence (AI) and quantum technologies place mathematical and physical sciences at the heart of innovation challenges, Orange makes its research a unique differentiator in the market. With a portfolio of more than 11,000 patents, Orange is a reference player in Europe and worldwide and this progress cements its leading position in the field of cutting-edge technologies. From the most complex quantum technologies to ethical AI algorithms, through adaptive networks, Orange Research directly fuels the Group’s offering and supports its performance.

AI, trust and inclusivity at the heart of Orange’s innovation

The event is organized around five thematic spaces presenting more than 45 new demonstrations from Orange and its technology partners and start-ups.

Trust in Tech highlights Orange and partner cybersecurity innovations developed to anticipate risks and strengthen trust. Visitors will discover AI solutions for proactive threat detection, as well as an unprecedented alternative to traditional CAPTCHA, derived from Orange’s research. A “Quantum Decrypted” corner will showcase quantum technologies applied to cybersecurity, notably Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), and concrete quantum applications with an AI that integrates a quantum computer pushing the limits of malware detection, with the start-up Quandela, and the discovery and inventory of cryptographic assets, a first step toward quantum-resistant cybersecurity, with the start-up CryptoNext Security.

Networks for Humans presents deployed and forward-looking innovations that revolutionize network management and performance for the benefit of those who supervise them and those who connect: AI to dialogue with the network in real time, a digital twin for the intelligent maintenance of fiber optics in France, a precise mapping solution for mobile antennas assisted by drones, and a technology that turns optical cables into smart sensors capable of locating ground movements or water leaks, notably through a trial with Veolia.

Intuitive Experiences illustrates Orange’s commitment to inclusive and accessible technology that fades into the user experience. Among others, “Live Memo” will be presented, the AI assistant that automates administrative tasks through collaboration with Ringover, developments on the “Max it” super app with a multilingual voice interface in natural language for Africa and the Middle East, and the latest developments of the “Orange Energies” platform, a real support for economic activity in rural African areas thanks to access to energy via innovative IoT solutions. Also to discover, a suite of AI-based assistance and training tools developed by Research and Orange Poland to increase advisers’ efficiency for the benefit of customers.

Home Simple Home highlights Orange’s vision of a home where the Livebox becomes an applicative platform for the house and family. Visitors will discover intuitive, voice-enabled TV navigation and multi-device support, a future intelligent energy management application transforming the box into a home control hub, and “Family Protection,” a unique innovation offering a secure space to protect the whole family with AI tools developed for digital risk education.

Empowering Business reinvents corporate performance with “Operations Journey,” an AI orchestration demonstration that reliably realigns industrial operations in real time through specialized AI agents. Orange Business also unveils the latest evolutions of “Evolution Platform” for the automatic interconnection of network services and “Live Intelligence,” its Generative AI solution. Network API are also at the heart of value creation for companies. In this sense, notably Orange will reveal concrete use cases based on its API in the domains of securing critical sites with Bordeaux Airport, Optimaize and Shabodi, and a one-click number verification solution for Google Firebase developers.

Orange OpenTech 2025 offers a full program of conferences and talks, highlights of which will be broadcast live on the Hello Future platform and on Orange’s social networks.

Following the success of the 2024 edition, which gathered more than 3,000 visitors, Orange OpenTech 2025 confirms its status as the reference event in the technology and telecom ecosystem, demonstrating Orange’s ability to translate innovation into concrete value for its customers, partners and society.
