APG|SGA expands its digital offering portfolio in the cities of Olten and Solothurn, providing additional services for the population

APG|SGA is strengthening its digital presence in the cities of Olten and Solothurn with the commissioning of a total of 32 screens. The core of the projects implemented with the two city authorities was the conversion of a total of ten analogue city map systems to digital ones. Six of them are located in Olten and four in Solothurn. Both cities can also use one third of the broadcasting time on the commercially usable screens, which are located on public land, for their own content such as cultural events, political information, and official announcements. A special feature is an "emergency function": in the event of extraordinary circumstances, the authorities can immediately override all screens, both commercial and city map systems, and thus warn or inform the population at an early stage (e.g. in the event of floods, fires or kidnappings). APG|SGA provides its own CMS for this purpose, which is used by both cities for broadcast planning.

All spaces in Olten and Solothurn are located in prime locations. In the city of Olten, 16 City ePanels are now available to advertisers. In Solothurn, there are six of them. At the request of the city of Olten, all ePanels were manufactured in a special colour that blends in particularly well with the surroundings.

The rollout of the new digital installations is a prime example of how the needs of a city, and its population can be harmonised with commercial content.
