A former baseball player at Long Island University in Brooklyn, Valenti transitioned his passion for sports into coaching. At Grover Cleveland High School in Ridgewood, New York, he led his soccer teams to an astounding 185 victories, 33 defeats, fifteen playoff appearances, and four city championships. Though he never played soccer himself, his deep understanding of American sports and leadership principles created a program that became legendary.

Today, Valenti resides in Long Island with his wife, Leila, and his dog, Gizmo. He is the proud father of two sons, Ted and Chris, and grandfather to Christina and Teddy.
