APG|SGA obtains “EcoEntreprise Excellence” certification for sustainable development and social responsibility

Just one year after being awarded the “EcoEntreprise Sustainable Development – Social Responsibility” label for the first time, APG|SGA has achieved the top level – “EcoEntreprise Excellence” – in its mandatory recertification. This award, which is based on the international guideline ISO 26000, confirms the company’s exemplary performance to the highest standards in the areas of sustainability and social responsibility.

Balanced consideration of environmental, social and economic factors has been a firmly established element in the APG|SGA mission statement for decades. The “EcoEntreprise Excellence” certificate demonstrates to the public – and, in particular, to partners and customers in the advertising market – that the company is implementing a comprehensive sustainability and risk management system. The Swiss national EcoEntreprise label has been setting the benchmark for sustainable development and corporate social responsibility in Switzerland since 2013. It is based on a detailed list of criteria, which is reviewed annually as part of an independent audit. The areas assessed include environmental responsibility, social solidarity, social commitment and economic performance.

Since its initial certification in 2024, APG|SGA has continued to build on its sustainability activities and implemented numerous improvements to bring it up to the highest certification level. The comprehensive CO₂ reduction pathway played a significant part in achieving the climate targets validated by the SBTi, as did optimisations in procurement, occupational health and safety upgrades, and new processes designed to ensure that all projects are consistently assessed against sustainability criteria right from the planning phase.

Andres Trautmann, Head of Purchasing & Sustainability at APG|SGA, gave the following comment: “During the initial certification, we identified some important areas for action. In line with our philosophy of constantly pushing forward with our sustainability efforts, we have successfully implemented numerous measures in recent months. The result confirms that we are operating at a very high level.”

CEO Markus Ehrle added to this: “The EcoEntreprise Excellence certificate underscores the fact that we at APG|SGA have been practising effective sustainability management for years and continuously working on improvements. The Excellence label allows us to demonstrate our ambition to all stakeholders in a credible way.”
