Ettenig Sayam’s “Seraphin Stone: Say Yes To Heaven” Takes Center Stage at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2025
A story of love, destiny, and divine guidance unfolds as Seraphin Stone joins The Maple Staple’s international showcase in Frankfurt.
Haitian American author Ettenig Sayam invites readers into a world where love, faith, and fate intertwine in her novel “Seraphin Stone: Say Yes to Heaven,” which will be featured at The Maple Staple Booth (Hall 5.1 D86) during the Frankfurt Book Fair 2025, taking place October 15–19 in Frankfurt, Germany.
Set amid the 2008–2009 global economic crisis, “Seraphin Stone: Say Yes to Heaven” unfolds in Massachusetts—a time and place marked by uncertainty, loss, and historic change. Amid this turbulent landscape, the fates of 17-year-old Haitian American Marie Ange Seraphin (Mari) and 31-year-old corporate executive David Stone converge under the guidance of Bondye, the Supreme Being in Haitian Vodou, and his servant spirit Papa Legba, guardian of the crossroads between Heaven and Earth.
Blending contemporary romance, social realism, mysticism, and symbolism, Seraphin Stone: Say Yes to Heaven unfolds as an immersive exploration of identity, purpose, and divine connection. It invites readers to reflect on their journey of self-discovery and consider what it truly means to “say yes to heaven.”
Ettenig Sayam is a second-generation Haitian whose parents immigrated to the United States during the Civil Rights Movement. Raised in New Jersey, she studied French at Drew University and continued her studies in Tours and Paris. Now based in Massachusetts, she has worked in the financial services industry as a compliance professional and practiced law while offering pro bono services. Her multicultural background and life experiences bring depth, spirituality, and authenticity to her storytelling.
Visitors to the Frankfurt Book Fair are encouraged to stop by The Maple Staple Booth (Hall 5.1 D86) to explore Sayam’s novel alongside a vibrant showcase of literary works from around the globe.
