Biman Roy’s “Miss Manhattan” Showcases the Poetry of New York at Frankfurt Book Fair 2025

“Miss Manhattan” by Biman Roy will be exhibited at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2025, running 15–19 October at Messe Frankfurt. The book will be on display at Hall 5.1, Stand D86, as part of the joint showcase by The Maple Staple and Inks & Bindings, who are presenting more than 150 titles from independent authors worldwide.

Roy’s collection reflects the simultaneity of life in New York City: the rush of cars, the call of birds, the brightness of flowers, and the endless hum of people and their stories. With layered yet controlled lyricism, “Miss Manhattan” captures the creative force of urban life, balancing joy, beauty, and riotous energy without slipping into chaos. These poems inhabit both the body and the world beyond it, offering readers an intimate yet collective experience of the city’s vibrancy.

A widely published poet for over three decades, Roy’s work has been nominated for both the Best of the Net and the Pushcart Prize. His other chapbooks include Of Moon and Washing Machine, Dinosaur Hour, and Navigating the Quartz Forest, each extending his unique voice within contemporary poetry.

The Maple Staple, now in its second year at Frankfurt and co-exhibiting for the first time with Inks & Bindings, will spotlight Roy’s work alongside a diverse array of voices. Their program will feature book exhibitions, author highlights, and a debut audiobook listening area for fair visitors.

“Miss Manhattan” will be exhibited at Hall 5.1, Stand D86 during the Frankfurt Book Fair 2025. Visitors can experience the collection in person at the stand, while global readers may find it through Amazon and other major book retailers.
