Bullying Awareness Advocate and Children’s Book Author Mary Albert Set to Feature Debut Work at FIL Guadalajara

For many years, children’s books have been used as a means to advocate for issues and raise awareness about challenges in school.

And for Mary Albert, it is no different. Mary Albert is the author of the series titled Millionaire Bear, which features a fatherly bear sporting a distinct coat covered in dollar signs. Millionaire Bear has a great love for his neighborhood, particularly for three little bears that have just moved in. For its first entry, Mary Albert has decided to put anti-bullying awareness as the series’ first message.

“Millionaire Bear, A Story About Overcoming Bullying” talks about Millionaire Bear’s first encounter with the brother bears, Taggy, Curly, and Bear. Bear, in particular, is revealed to have a very tough time in school due to being bullied. The much older Millionaire realizes he sees something of his younger self in Bear, and feels inspired to pass on a life-changing lesson on how to deal with bullying.

Mary Albert has been excitedly showcasing her first book at a number of book fairs this year, and she shows no signs of stopping. She’s already set for a book signing of “Millionaire Bear, A Story About Overcoming Bullying” at the Guadalajara International Book Fair 2025. The book fair, also known as Feria Internacional del Libro de Guadalajara (FIL Guadalajara), is one of the most widely attended events of its kind in the Americas, and she hopes showcasing her work there is another big step to her advocacy against bullying in schools.

Still, she has plenty more adventures featuring Millionaire Bear and the three bear brothers, with some of the next books focusing on topics like counting and reading. She’s very excited to keep on sharing her work with newer readers at the book fair and build up the series’ following.

Visitors to the 2025 Guadalajara International Book Fair can find Mary Albert at the exhibit of ReadersMagnet, a book marketing and self-publishing services company, under booth GG40. She’ll be there for a book-signing session in the afternoon from November 29 to December 3, 2025.

The book fair will be held at the Expo Guadalajara, Av. Mariano Otero 1499, Colonia Verde Valle, Guadalajara, Jalisco, México, from November 29 to December 7, 2025. However, ReadersMagnet will be exhibiting until December 3.
