Norman Kelker’s Sweeping Family Chronicle Finds An International Stage In Frankfurt Book Fair 2025

“Immigrant Family: Three Centuries in America” by Norman Kelker will be featured at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2025, the world’s largest trade fair for books and publishing, taking place 15–19 October at Messe Frankfurt. It will be displayed at Hall 5.1, Stand D86, a stand by The Maple Staple in collaboration with Inks & Bindings, as part of their extensive and diverse showcase of more than 150 titles.

Kelker’s meticulously researched narrative follows the Kelker family line across ten generations, beginning with a perilous 1743 voyage from Switzerland to America. Through richly detailed biographies, he traces the descendants’ lives from Revolutionary War service and political leadership to professions as diverse as innkeeping, ironworking, and engineering. Later generations span from NASA scientists to a soap opera star, mapping the broader American experience through one family’s journey.

The author notes that American history is most vivid when told through the lives of ordinary people and their extraordinary choices. His work blends genealogy with social history, offering readers a personal lens on three centuries of national growth, conflict, and transformation.
