About the Author

Alan J. Kobs has dedicated his life to youth ministry, helping countless high school students grow in faith, leadership, and service. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toledo and a Master of Arts degree from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, and has enriched his ministry through decades of leadership workshops with the Presbyterian Church (USA), Group Publishing, Inc., and Youth Specialties. He has also designed and led youth leadership workshops across the nation and developed two Youth Leadership Conferences that continue to impact young people today.

Beloved by both students and parents, Kobs’ ministry is described as compassionate, encouraging, and transformative. His influence extends beyond the classroom and church walls, leaving a lasting legacy in the lives of those he has mentored. Today, based in Dayton, Ohio, Kobs continues to share his passion through writing, teaching, and online outreach, empowering new generations of youth leaders to carry forward the mission of Christ.
