David Thomas dedicated more than thirty-four years to the criminal justice system, working in corrections, law enforcement, the courts, and as a defense investigator. Specializing in investigations, he served as a detective, detective sergeant, and supervisor. An Arizona native and U.S. Air Force veteran, he earned a B.A. in Liberal Arts from the University of Arizona. David shared forty-six wonderful years with his beloved wife, Karen, whose insight and encouragement greatly influenced this book before her passing in July 2022. Today, David enjoys writing, cherishing time with family, and traveling with close friends, continuing a life of purpose and connection.
