MBR Repair Donates Portion of July Proceeds to Rural Valley Volunteer Fire Department, Inspires Community Support

“They’re the first to show up when help is needed—this is our way of showing up for them.”
Throughout the month of July, MBR Repair, a trusted local automotive and heavy-duty diesel repair shop in Dayton, PA, held a community fundraiser aimed at providing a portion of all invoices to be donated to Rural Valley Volunteer Fire Department. The fundraiser also encouraged customers and the public to contribute directly to the department.
The campaign not only generated funds from MBR Repair’s operations but also drove additional donations from community members eager to support their local first responders.
The donation was made this past week in recognition of the department’s unwavering service and dedication to the community. RVFD’s very own Joshua Schrecengost, company firefighter, and RVFD President, Gregory Hasley, received the donation, given by Kyleigh and Brandan Reesman of MBR Repair, pictured here.
MBR Repair, known for its motto “working hard for the hard working,” services the Rural Valley department’s emergency vehicle fleet along with those of several neighboring departments, including Dayton and Templeton. The contribution reflects the shop’s ongoing commitment to supporting the local heroes who keep our communities safe.
“As a business rooted in the Dayton area for generations, giving back to those who give so much was an easy decision,” said Brandan Reesman. “Nobody works harder than our local first responders, and it’s our privilege to support them in any way we can.”
The Reesman family has been a staple in the region’s business community since 1966, operating a suite of enterprises including ML Reesman Trucking, Rees Excavating, KB Equipment Rental, and MBR Repair. Their legacy of hard work and community involvement continues to shape the Dayton area, where loyalty, service, and strong values run deep. MBR Repair was recently awarded Silver Awards for Leader Times’ 2025 Best of the Best for both “Best Truck Repair” and “Best Automotive Repair.”
The Rural Valley Volunteer Fire Department expressed their gratitude for the generous donation, which will help fund critical equipment and ongoing operational needs.
MBR Repair encourages other local businesses to find ways to support their community’s emergency responders. “They’re the first to show up when help is needed—this is our way of showing up for them,” the Reesman family added.
