The Jazz at the Audi Forum concert series will return from its summer break on September 11. The swingIN Big Band, local favorites, will perform live at the Audi museum mobile at 8 p.m. Founded in 2015, the band has become a well-known name in the region. Tickets for the concert are on sale now.
When the swingIN Big Band opens the jazz season at the Audi museum mobile, it brings the arrangements of great jazz icons to the stage. This year’s spotlight is on Sammy Nestico. His works gave the legendary Count Basie Orchestra its distinctive sound. Between 1970 and 1984, he oversaw the recordings of ten albums, four of which won a Grammy Award. Nestico also worked with global stars like Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, and Phil Collins, and composed numerous soundtracks for Hollywood productions. The swingIN Big Band will interpret Nestico’s works such as “Warm Breeze” and “Night Flight” with its signature stylistic blend of openness and creativity.
This will be the ensemble’s fifth September performance in the Jazz at the Audi Forum Ingolstadt series.
