Jean Quaal’s Delightful Children’s Book About Rhymes, Roosters, and the Joy of Asking Why Soon to Exhibit at Frankfurt Book Fair 2025
For many years, Jean Quaal has loved answering the many times her kids keep asking about the way things work. In fact, she has dedicated a great deal of poetry to these innocent moments of preschooler curiosity. It is why she published this in her own children’s book series, starting with one titled “If Roosters Crow?” To further promote the book, Quaal has even arranged its exhibition at the upcoming Frankfurt Book Fair.
“My four year old niece learned how to make animal noises before she could talk. Rhyming is one of the first things I remember in memorizing words and seems to be important to many. I am glad that Jean Quaal took the time and made effort to get this book together. Thank you.” - Laurel A. Lawrence
When it comes to her life’s most memorable accomplishments, Jean Quaal is proud to list the joy of answering her children’s many questions about how things work.
In fact, she cherished their inquisitive curiosity so much that she had begun writing poetry based on the many times they wanted to know the “hows” and “whys” on so many different topics.
And now, that poetry is about to take the global stage in her own published book “If Roosters Crow?” Through charming rhymes and cheerful verses, the book is both a fun read and a celebration of all those pressing questions asked during preschool years.
Its format follows the ideal flow of a read-aloud session, and further lights up the young minds eager to learn about the world around them. And on the side, it also plays on how children just can’t stop observing the things they see, and are always wondering how the grown-ups really know it all.
“If Roosters Crow?” is also just the first of a whole series based on Quaal’s poetry, and she plans to keep on releasing more of her poetry with all the world’s young readers.
The book will be exhibited by the self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet at the upcoming Frankfurt Book Fair 2025, where it will be displayed alongside many other books in a large showcase of independent authors who want to go above and beyond to share their work. Fairgoers can find the book displayed at ReadersMagnet’s exhibit at stand 6.0 A12.
