Eataly makes its Dutch debut at Schiphol Airport

Schiphol is proud to welcome the first branch of Italian food concept Eataly to the Netherlands. Travellers can now enjoy authentic Italian dishes at the heart of the airport’s renewed and expanded Lounge 1.
A Dutch debut
The opening of the new restaurant is a coup for Schiphol, as it represents Eataly’s debut on the Dutch catering scene. The restaurant centres around an impressive counter offering freshly prepared Pizza alla Pala, filled croissants, classic Italian sweet treats and much more. For travellers without much time to spare, there is a wide range of grab & go goodies, including fresh salads, desserts and juices. Aficionados of Italian coffee will love hanging out at Eataly’s specialty coffee bar. The restaurant can welcome up to 70 customers.

Lounge 1: renewed and expanded
The opening of Eataly is a significant step in the major redevelopment of Lounge 1, where travellers arrive after their security check for European flights. The lounge was recently expanded from 19,000 to a vast 24,000 square metres, with an extensive upgrade to the range of retail and hospitality on offer. A total of 23 new retail and hospitality concepts are being added, providing ever greater variety, quality and experience. For example, Schiphol’s largest store Today Duty Free recently opened its doors at this location, along with a Starbucks branch of over 500 m2.
