Anheuser-Busch Supports Disaster Relief Efforts for Texas Following Severe Floods
In response to the devastating floods across Central and South Texas, Anheuser-Busch is actively supporting relief and recovery efforts through a $100,000 donation from the A-B Foundation to the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country – Kerr County Flood Relief Fund – and has donated more than 20,000 cans of emergency drinking water to directly support impacted residents and first responders, in partnership with its local wholesaler partners.
As a proud member of the Anheuser-Busch family, Houston-based Karbach Brewing Company is also supporting its fellow Texans with a $25,000 donation to Feeding Texas to aid immediate disaster relief efforts. Additionally, Karbach has designed a T-shirt as a symbol of togetherness and love for its community, with 100% of proceeds going to Feeding Texas to support Central Texas and San Antonio Food Banks. Karbach’s Pizza & Pints restaurant in Houston will also donate 15% of all food sales to Feeding Texas through the end of July.
Anheuser-Busch has a longstanding tradition of providing support for disaster relief efforts, dating back to 1906. Since the inception of its emergency drinking water program in 1988, Anheuser-Busch has produced 100 million cans of water, distributed by its wholesaler partners, for U.S. communities affected by natural disasters and other crises.
The 20,000+ cans of water donated to support Texas flood relief efforts were sourced from Anheuser-Busch’s brewery in Cartersville, Georgia, which alongside the Fort Collins, Colorado brewery, periodically pauses beer production to can emergency drinking water and help communities in times of disaster.
