BACKGROUND:
The International Lifeline Fund addresses critical clean water and energy challenges through sustainable partnerships. To date, Lifeline has provided about 350,000 rural villagers with access to clean water and enabled 650,000 households to obtain fuel-saving stoves. As a result, over 1.6 million fewer tons of CO₂ have been released into the atmosphere and 25 million hours are being saved each year in time spent collecting water and wood.
