Exhibited at both events by the self-publishing and marketing company ReadersMagnet, Rudy Rabbit Tried drew attention for its heartfelt story and whimsical illustrations. Elliott Gilbert was born in Brooklyn, New York. He, his wife, and three children lived in the West Village for many years, after which he moved to Hoboken, New Jersey. His education included the Brooklyn Museum Art School, Parsons School of Design, Pratt Institute, and the Art Students’ League. He has authored and illustrated several children’s books, among them “My Cat Story,” (Amazon), “Max Goes Hunting,” (Amazon), “The Best-Loved Doll” (Caudill, Holt), Rudy Rabbit Tried" (Amazon), and “Lizzie” (Kumin/Seven Stories Press).
