Carrie Hatton’s Powerful Post-Pandemic Survivor’s Memoir Set for Midwest’s Largest Outdoor Book Showcase
For many Americans, the COVID-19 pandemic remains a divisive, heated topic that sees endless politicization. None of that, however, has stopped Carrie Hatton from using her own survival account with the disease to reach fellow survivors who are still left vulnerable, disabled, and traumatized from their ordeal. It is why she has set her book, “Clinically Dead,” to exhibit at the upcoming Printers Row Lit Fest in Chicago to provide words of counsel and comfort that go above the partisanship.
“This is truly an amazing story of real life strength and faith. Word of warning, once you start reading, you’re not going to want to stop. Simply Amazing!” - Mike Parenti
The upcoming Printers Row Lit Fest in Chicago is one of the largest outdoor book showcases that attracts a great number of independent authors who see it as an opportunity to further reach out. For Carrie Hatton, such a platform is ideal for the kind of message she wants to send.
Hatton is the author of “Clinically Dead: A COVID-19 Walking Miracle,” which shares her experience as a survivor of COVID-19. Furthermore, she was one of the first wave of Americans who had been infected with the disease. The experience was a three-month-long battle that even had her clinically dead at some point. But by some miracle, she lived through it and had written her book in solidarity with fellow survivors.
Hatton also doesn’t mince words when it comes to the intense politicization of the pandemic. Unlike a good many books on the subject, she puts the focus squarely on those who had been afflicted with COVID-19 and are suffering many of the long-term effects despite their survival. Like them, Hatton was still left disabled and heavily traumatized from her ordeal and wants her book to be a sympathetic read to all those with the same experience whoever they may be.
Those in Chicago who want to check out her story themselves can find “Clinically Dead: A COVID-19 Walking Miracle” displayed under the exhibit of ReadersMagnet, a self-publishing and book marketing services company that will be at the 2025 Printer Row Lit Fest. The event is scheduled for September 6-7, 2025, at Printers Row Park. Visit ReadersMagnet’s exhibit.
