Christian Children’s Book Author Teresa Pelinski Set to Feature All Published Works at Two Upcoming Book Events in Los Angeles

Since 2006, Teresa Haven Pelinski has been actively working in her own ministry called “Dontcha Know? You are a Child of the Most-High God!” It is a ministry dedicated to praying, visiting, and singing for the sick as well as offering spiritual encouragement to others.

Still, Pelinski realized that she may have also found an additional avenue for sharing her faith-based messages of hope: writing children’s books.

To date, Pelinski has already three books published and are already available online. All of them center on the theme of teaching children about God, Jesus, and the reality that there are those in heaven who love and watch over them.

In “Jensen’s Lullaby,” she shares a piece she wrote to her daughter a week before she was born and that her mother’s love will always be there even as she grows up. “Rain from Heaven” talks about God’s hand in creation, and how even the rain is a blessing that He sends from above. And lastly, “Rockabye Jesus” shifts the focus on Jesus watching over little kids and that He’s always there to listen to their prayers.

For Pelinski, there seems to be a dearth of children’s material that encourages them to consider spiritual matters. She wants to buck the trend of educational material only being about giving them head knowledge and wants to give Christian children something that instills a strong sense of faith and belief.

It is why she has even arranged to have these books featured at two upcoming book events that are soon to take place in Los Angeles. The first is called the Los Angeles Book Confab, organized by the self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet. This intimate gathering of authors will be held on April 23-24, 2025, at the Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City in Universal City. The second is the famous L.A. Times Festival of Books 2025, which will be held on April 26-27, 2025, at the University of Southern California (USC) campus in Los Angeles. Festivalgoers will find ReadersMagnet displaying at booth #225.

Author’s Biography
Teresa Haven Baltzegar Pelinski was born on August 23, 1960 in Orangeburg, South Carolina, to Jefferson D. Baltzegar and Lucretia K. Baltzegar.

She retired from state government in 2007 after twenty-nine years of service and is now living in Gilbert, South Carolina. Married to John J. Pelinski. She has one child of her own, four stepchildren and eight grandchildren.

She began singing in church as a child. She is currently working on the recording of her first gospel album.

She began her own ministry in the year 2006, which is called “Dontcha Know? You are a Child of the Most-High God!.” Her ministry is about visiting, praying and singing for the sick and others that need encouragement in their lives. She is a prayer warrior and her faith in Jesus Christ got her through depression and worries as a child. Her faith is strong, and she knows Jesus has been with her every moment of her life.

She enjoys painting and crafting in her leisure times.
