“I believe that one man can change the world, but he can’t do it alone…he will need help.” - Jay P. Hotrum

At the upcoming London Book Fair 2025, visitors can find not just exciting new novels and industry insights. They will also find plenty of books that build upon the latest research and discoveries on a wide range of topics.

In fact, these even include the works of niche experts like Jay P. Hotrum, a drug abuse rehabilitation researcher who came to his field via a peculiar project that investigated drug abuse during WWII. He shares his journey, as well as his remarkable discoveries about the war, in a book titled Hitler, The Third Reich, and Methamphetamines: Drug Abuse and Politics.”

The book originated as a thesis when Hotrum was earning his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of California. It focused on the possibility of rational actors during times of conflict no longer being rational due to the widespread yet societally tolerated abuse of mind-altering drugs.

“Hitler, The Third Reich, and Methamphetamines” builds upon the relatively recent revelations regarding the use of opioids, narcotics, and other dangerous substances by Nazi forces, including Adolf Hitler himself. Using all the latest, declassified information from the Nazi regime, Hotrum’s book uses the Third Reich as a cautionary model of drug abuse by government actors and the manipulation of moneyed interests.

So for WWII history buffs at the 2025 London Book Fair, the book is a fascinating deep-dive into a relatively new perspective on the topic. They can find “Hitler, The Third Reich, and Methamphetamines: Drug Abuse and Politics” on display at the exhibit of ReadersMagnet, a book marketing and self-publishing company, at stand no. 6A90. The book fair is set for March 11-13, 2025, at the Olympia London, UK. The book is available on Amazon.
